“Work smarter not harder.”
As I read the preface/ch.1-2, I remembered what one of my
instructors said when I was doing my master’s degree at Portland State
University. In my opinion, using the
right technology is working smarter. J
In the book it was mentioned that teachers who are
disorganized lose valuable time and resources. This reminded of what I saw four years ago.
One day I passed by one class and saw a white board full of grammar rules
written by a teacher. There I was
thinking the time she spent writing the rules and students who were copying
down in their notebooks which they didn't understand. I remember thinking, “What
a waste of time for both of them.”
Almost everything needs to be upgraded in certain way with
special tools like Fred’s garage. As a teacher I am taking this class to be
better able to incorporate the use of technology to my advantage. This will help
me provide the necessary implementation of technology in my curriculum.
Your quote about how using the right technology is working smarter is great. When put in that context, I wonder how I could be working smarter?
